Welcome to the Home of the Lakota Tomahawks Youth Football Association  ~ EST. 1985
Our mission is to teach young people the fundamentals of Football and Cheer with a strong emphasis on integrity, respect, confidence and teamwork.

We develop the skills of every player on the team and teach lessons on the field that will benefit them off the field and after the season -  as well as prepare them to win each week. We look for players to develop and excel at leadership, self-confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship - it is about much more than the game!

FOOTBALL:

  • We offer K1- 6th Grade tackle Football teams. The 2018 Season will be the first with the new GCYFL, the premier youth football league in Southwest Ohio. In the GCYFL, your player can compete in some of the best youth football anywhere in the country.
  • Since safety is the top priority, we ensure each player is fitted properly with the finest certified protective equipment available. Our Coaches invest significant time in continued safety and health training. We continually evaluate the latest trends and available equipment  to provide the best, safest experience possible.
  • You will see many former Tomahawks on the field each Friday night since we are the feeder program for both Lakota East and Lakota West High Schools and see our players play at many other High Schools. Lakota Tomahawk alumni include numerous NFL players including 1st Round Draft picks and Super Bowl Champions and dozens of NCAA Collegiate scholarship recipients. Check out our Hall of Fame for more details.

CHEERLEADING:

  • For over 25 years, the Lakota Tomahawks has been the place to be a Cheerleader in Lakota.
  • Children can begin cheering in Kindergarten and continue through 6th grade. While our Cheer teams are non-competitive, your children will get high quality instruction in a fun, safe environment. Registration includes a new, custom-fited unform each year.
  • Tomahawk Cheerleaders learn dozens of new cheers every year and squads learn and perform a half-time dance at every game. Cheerleaders attend an annual cheer clinic hosted by the Lakota East and West High School Cheerleaders and coaching staff. Tomahawk Cheerleaders also get to cheer during a high school football game every fall.
  • Come join the fun of being a Tomahawk Cheerleader - We've Got SPIRIT!

COACHES:

  • Our Coaches are the most important volunteers in our organization. Lakota Tomahawk Football coaches are all USA Football HEADS UP certified, and all Cheer coaches are concussion certified.
  • Football and Cheer Head Coaches are selected only after a thorough interview process with the Board of Directors and passing a rigorous background check. Most of our Coaches played and/ or coached the game from High School to the NFL or Cheered at competitive levels.
  • If you have a passion for Football or Cheer and the development of youth in our community, we are always looking for quality Coaches.
